College Columns
I wrote a relationship column for my college newspaper, The Daily Gamecock, for a bit called “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.” I was the first columnist to have a specific “beat.” I was loved and hated, but advice never gets old.
— Breakdown those hidden emotional walls
— Post break-up semester has its advantages
— ‘Tis better to have loved, lost than not to have tried
— Sex talk cosmopolitan? Most certainly
— Companies dating policies’ condemn couples
— Don’t buy self-help books — help yourself
— Like Lassie’s passing, getting dumped bites
— Sharing bed with strangers is risky business
— Don’t let rocks ruin rush of going over falls
— Commitment stereotypes falsely classify sexes
— Silence doesn’t imply consent for sex
— K-I-S-S-I-N-G keeps inner-youth singing
— Before bailing, beware of bad possibilities, others’ feelings
— Starting relationships requires more than easy temptations
— Hope, sarcasm essential for college reality
— Self respect comes before taking abuse
— Bottling feelings waste of time
— Breaking-up needs cyber-world space
— Post-break up time better spent single
— Guys keep reading for dating success
— S.S. Couplehood comes with life boat
— Dear tonsil-hockey players: Time out
— Compatibility more than first glance
— Fix one bad habit, two take its place
— Quit hearing love notes inside babble
— Delayed break-ups not worth facade
