Warning: This post will probably be a little scattered.
So looks like I ran out of a little bit of steam. And sorry I don’t have a better photo for the day. It’s not the greatest.
I was on a posting roll (with several posts within just a few days). Then nothing happened worth blogging about. Blah. I’ve been working a lot, including a large, legislative outlook for 2012. Here are just a few things I’ve been meaning to post.
1. I got new glasses (see above). I have to overpay for lenses because my Rx is so high, but this time I also opted for some special lenses, hoping I would wear the glasses more often. These lenses have the Rx on the inside so it’s closer to my eye and more like contacts. I also got HD lenses. (They make everything HD, don’t they?) At first, I thought it was just some kind of marketing ploy … but there’s a huge difference. These lenses are awesome. Best glasses I’ve ever had. They really are more like wearing contacts.
2. And finally another collection of links, etc.:
I enjoyed Clare’s posts about her recent cruise and her cruise tips are good. I’ve never been but I’d like to.
Reclaiming Wife has had a couple of powerful posts in the past two days. This one is about the choice to not have kids and then here is another about living an intentional life. Both are great reads and I like discussing them.
I already tweeted these but thought I would share on here anyway: Christen’s post about evolving style, Katie’s post about blogging philosophy, and Emily’s post about torn feelings about making big life steps and moving.
I recently updated my Google Reader (and I plan to update my blogroll soon). What blogs should I definitely be reading?
- The Philosotoddler
- 27 Rules to Conquer the Gym. My favorite: 10. Beware a hip gym with a Wilco step class.
I know the Sh*t so-and-so says thing is taking off, but this is the best one I’ve seen.
I also really love this tribute to Ron Swanson. I mean what’s not to love. You really should watch Parks & Rec.
Iowa Girl Eats’ recipe for white chili and the recommended cornbread. The cornbread was ah-mazing. The husband won’t stop talking about it. I never considered making the cornbread instead of just buying the box, but it was so easy! The husband says: it tastes like cake! And I guess it should; it has a ton of sugar in it. So much for being healthy.
We actually have been cooking a lot more lately, I just can’t remember what all we’ve made.
I can’t get over this show. Virgin Diaries. This just cracks me up. I think I need to actually watch the show.
Finally, an awesome Adele performance.
So I have a couple of questions for you all. I’d like to improve this blog as best I can. I tend to like Katie’s take on blogging, but I do want to make sure I’m actually posting something worth reading. So, readers, whoever you are, what should I do more of? Less of?
