Butterbeer & baby
I recently visited my brother and sister-in-law in Atlanta to see my new niece, Lusie. Isn’t she the cutest?
I also got to spend some time with one of my best girlfriends, who is working on a doctorate in the city! We had dinner at Six Feet Under in Midtown. But really, it was the view that made it a cool stop.
Of course after dinner we completely geeked out as only best friends can. We made butterbeer cupcakes and frozen butterbeers (thank you, again, Pinterest.)
The cupcakes were a little much. Not only was the cake part super sweet, it had a sweet icing and a ganache filling and drizzle.
They were good, but next time, I’d go without the ganache.
The butterbeers on the other hand were purely delicious.
yummy. Just as I imagined and perfect for butterbeer whip cream mustaches!
UPDATE: We also ate at Flying Biscuit for brunch and it was ah-mazing. How I miss homemade biscuits. I need a good recipe for this. And we stopped by Ippolito’s for dinner and Uncle Julio’s for lunch before I left. Delicious food and sweet tea. Yum.
And then, of course, there was more Lusie!
Look, little Gamecock shoes with spurs! Just in time for football season, too!

They were really good. I could feel the sugar seeping into my pours though. I bet yours will be fancy fancy.
